About the Author
Jos Ilagan is an author and wrote the action-packed spy novel titled The Zhongguo Orchestra, a book that shows the current geopolitical conflict in Southeast Asia that fits the United States and the Philippines against China.
As a former Intelligence Officer who spent eight years in counter-terrorism operations, Jos is a political junkie who follows the news all over the world. He is an ardent student of world history and writes immensely on the subject of global terrorism and security.
Jos graduated with a degree in Political Science, studied law, and earned his Master of Public Administration.
When not busy writing, Jos either spends his time working in his yard or watching Premier League and MLS games. He supports Chelsea FC and Los Angeles FC. But most of the time you will find him in the church with his family.
Jos is currently crafting the sequel to the York Ryder saga titled The Assyrian Conspiracy.
The Zhongguo Orchestra is not only a spy-thriller novel but a faith-based book as well. Thrilling in the extreme; a definite page-turner!

About the book The Zhongguo Orchestra
York Ryder is a photojournalist assigned to cover the visit of US State Secretary John Berzowski to the Philippines. But after the bomb explosion killed the secretary and his USDOS delegation at the Manila Hotel, Ryder found himself working on a new assignment, and this time, helping the CIA Manila Station locate the killers of the American diplomats.
There is one problem that prevents Ryder from accomplishing his mission. The CIA and the intelligence community have no information on who killed Bezowski; not even chatters on who hatched the attacks that decimated almost half of the USDOS delegation. The British MI-6 has no information to share with the CIA, and the Israeli MOSSAD seems not in the mood to help the Americans.
Not knowing who their targets are, the CIA seeks the assistance of its local counterpart—the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency. NICA’s operational lead produces actionable intelligence, then a joint operation against the Hong Kong-based transnational syndicate ensues.
Ryder and NICA’s top-secret unit called COBRA have four days to stop the Kowloon Dragon from assassinating its next target—the President of the United States.
The stake is high and the possible outcome of the terror plot is catastrophic. Thus, the strict order by the CIA HQS to Ryder is to terminate with extreme prejudice. In the next four days of covert operations, all hell will break loose, and wherever Ryder goes, blood trails will follow him.
