Carolyn Fe is a late-blooming Filipina-Canadian, award winning tri-lingual Actress (English/French/Tagalog), an award winning Singer-Songwriter-Lyricist and a former contemporary Dancer-Choreographer.

At an age when her peers have long established themselves or are thinking of retiring, Carolyn’s continuous pursuit of artistic evolution adds new instruments to her creative portfolio as a Writer and Playwright.  She is currently in two residencies developing plays; one about reincarnation and another one based on a horror short story she wrote.  Some TV/streaming credits include Lola (Grandma) in the Nickelodeon children’s show “Blue’s Clues & You!” and Madame Z in the award winning French series “Meilleur Avant”.  Some Theatre credits include: Calpurnia (Nightwood/Sulong), Hilot Means Healer (Cahoots), Through the Bamboo (Uwi Collective), and Three Women of Swatow (Tarragon).

Created and produced annually by FACC-Hollywood board member Edwin A. Santos, the Filipino Hollywood Actors Panel is a panel discussion and networking event featuring special industry guest panelists who represent the craft of acting across the board while shining a spotlight towards Filipino actors in Hollywood today.

Panelists discuss their explorations of the process and profession of acting; their reflections on personal experiences and artistic influences that informed and shaped their careers; their discussions of past and current projects and share valuable insights into the craft and the industry.

Audience Q&A and networking follow. Get a chance to ask our panelists questions, learn about open opportunities, and build your network.

The second Special Guest Panelist will be revealed soon.

Close to sixty years ago, the first Filipino American artist to have won a Grammy was Larry Ramos with The New Christy Minstrels for Best Performance In A Chorus in 1963. It was for their 1962 debut album, 'Presenting The New Christy Minstrels.'

In 1967, he joined The Association.

On Sunday, April 3rd 2022, five Filipino American artists - Olivia Rodrigo, H.E.R., Saweetie, Bruno Mars (of Silk Sonic) and Elle King (in a duet with Miranda Lambert) had 22 Grammy nominations between them - but three of them conquered the 64th annual Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada scoring three of the four major awards.

Olivia Rodrigo won three of her seven Grammy nominations for her debut album, 'Sour.' They were Best Pop Vocal Album ('Sour'), Best Pop Solo Performance ('drivers license') and Best New Artist.

Rodrigo's win for Best New Artist puts her in esteemed company including Carly Simon, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Tom Jones, Billie Eilish and the Beatles.

H.E.R. won a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance for 'Fight For You.' It was written for the 2021 film, "Judas and the Black Messiah."

It won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 93rd ceremony of the 2021 Academy Awards.

The throwback R&B act Silk Sonic — led by the duo of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars — won four Grammys: Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best R&B Performance (in a tie with Jazmine Sullivan) and Best R&B Song Of The Year. All for 'Leave The Door Open.'

Congratulations to all Grammy nominees and winners! And, to Filipino Representation!
